Week 8: Write a mathematical equation about something you know/believe to be true.

Anyone who knows me knows I am not the biggest fan of math, or equations of any kind, but I thought this might be a good opportunity to highlight some amazing women who have made my life a little easier, healthier, and a lot more delicious the past few months.

My equation: Sensitive baby + new dietary restrictions = discovering amazing new food blogs.

Without going into too much detail I will simply say that I have learned breastfeeding is SO much more than giving your kid a little food here and there. The whole experience can be joyful, complicated, and down right tear-producing at times.

The list of potential complications seems endless, but mine consisted mostly of food allergies for my little guy. As a result, I was told to cut out dairy and soy from my diet for the last 6 months. Had I known at the time how much soy and dairy is in EVERYTHING we eat, I might have thrown in the towel right then and there. I didn't, therefore I decided to give it a go.

Needless to say, there is no shame in doing whatever is best for you and your baby, whether that be formula, breast milk, or a combination. I respect any and all decisions now more than ever!

That being said, my decision to try this new diet thing left my once confident-in-the-kitchen self, feeling very inadequate in terms of cooking with new ingredients. In the process I stumbled upon some amazing blogs that helped me so much! Regardless of your current dietary needs, I highly recommend you click the images below and see all these incredible ladies have to offer:

Paleo friendly, clean eating, and LOTS of desert ideas :) My personal favorite of the month is the Paleo Pumpkin Cookies with Dark Chocolate Chips

Vegan, clean eating, and many soy free recipes as well! I can honestly say, even my meat-eating husband loved a lot of these recipes and they left us feeling very full. For a cozy fall dinner I recommend the Butternut Squash, Sweet Potato, and Red Lentil Stew

This one has been a God-send for me when it came to introducing Everett to solid foods for the first time. I was at a loss for where to begin, and the recipes on this site are easy, but adventurous. I am determined to raise a non-picky eater, and I know this blog will help! Tim and I have also enjoyed some of the recipes for ourselves like the Toddler Breakfast Oat Cups that we shamelessly eat for breakfast every day.

Whether you're a breastfeeding momma with a sensitive baby, or just someone in need of some new ideas for delicious healthy eating, I hope this post offers you some new ideas!

Huge thank you to the women who boldly followed their passions and started these food blogs! I am eternally grateful!
